Luwa Hair is inspired by my middle name, Imisioluwa, a Yoruba name meaning “the inspiration of God.” The brand was born from a genuine love for transformation and self-expression through hair.
My journey began in 2016, when I wore my very first wig. That moment sparked something deep, the feeling of becoming a new me. It wasn’t just about beauty; it was about confidence, identity, and creativity. From then on, I became fascinated with the world of hair extensions.
Over the years, I tried hair from more than 20+ different companies, chasing that perfect balance of softness, longevity, and natural flow. In that process, I discovered how much more there was to learn about hair origins, sourcing, and manufacturing. I realised the hair industry was vast and layered, filled with both quality craftsmanship and fast money-making schemes disguised as luxury.
In 2023, I dedicated an entire year to researching the industry in depth. I studied what makes hair last, why some don’t, and how top brands dominate through marketing, storytelling, and affiliation. I learned the truth behind common marketing labels like Brazilian, Peruvian, and Grade 10A to 15A, and explored the differences between Indian, Chinese, Indonesian, Vietnamese, and Cambodian hair sourcing.
Through that journey, I found clarity. I wanted to create a brand that sits between the highest-grade raw hair and the average Remy hair found on mainstream platforms offering authentic virgin hair that performs beautifully, lasts long, and embodies true quality without the inflated labels or false promises.
That vision became Luwa Hair.
A Virgin Hair Company inspired by God, built on research, honesty, and passion,
here to supply luxury hair that lasts, for women who love to switch up their style and still value quality at every turn.
